Going to Les Menuires in January- can't decide between ESF and Prosneige. Any advice? Group size/ english speaking groups are some of the issues. Also convenience of the meeting point. DS is 5, skied a bit last year but realy a beginner. Thanks!

What size classes does Prosneige commit to? The ESF classes in the 3 Vallees, even for the tinies, are often more than 10 - and often have to rely on the other skiers on the slopes to pick up the little ones if one of them falls as they snake down the mountainside.

I have also seen far too many ESF instructors still skiing with knees and feet clamped together, which is not how you should ski with modern carving skis.

thanks for the reply.

I have heard that ESF is not great- but don't know anything about prosneige, hence the question. They commit to no more than 10 in a class- but that still seems a lot for 5 year olds?

Also neither would commit to an english speaking group, as opposed to english speaking instructor- which from my own experience (admitedly this was ages ago) means the instructor speaks in French, then gives very short english version every so often

Personally I'd go with Prosneige - at least they commit to some sort of limite

We use Magic in Motion - but that's in the Meribel valley.
