'Bonded' ski companies

Does anyone know if it is a problem if a ski company is not bonded (ABTOL/ABTOT)?

I notice that Ski Famille and Family Ski are but Meriski and Ski Magic aren't bonded, what would happen if the company went bust? Would I get my money back?

As far as I know you wouldn't get your money back but you would if you'd booked with a bonded company.

They may operate a trust account which, if properly run, would give you similar protection. Worth checking.

If you pay on credit card, doesn't it give you the same protection in terms of recouping the cost? Or am I mistaken?
