Christmas in Chamonix

Anyone spent Christmas in Chamonix? We are going skiing but with ds1, ds2 and ds3 (only 9 months old) I will also be looking for non-skiing activities in the afternoons. Any tips? Thanks.

There is lots to do in Chamonix - lots of just sightseeing. There is a museum which is supposed to be really good.

On the way to Le Tour there was a sledging park that quite a few children congregated (in the cross country park - up past the swimming pool).

Ice skating at the sport centre.

The swimming pool is very good and it has a small childrens pool.

The ice caves are very good (but v. expensive).

There is a cinema with lots of english films.

If you are on your own with the 9 month old - there is a toddler group that is held on some days at the main church off Rue dePaccard (near the tourist info).

Bowling alley by the main bus station (near Chamonix Sud). Apparently there is crazy golf upstairs (we haven't gotten around to going yet! We're going out again 2 weeks so I'm sure we will try out).

Snowman building of course!!!

I can't think of anymore at the moment - will post again if I remember anything else!

I mean a seperate pool for small children - not a small childrens pool - it's rather large actually!
