Ski Famille

So we've decided to go with Ski Famille next March. 4 adults and 2 under 5s. They gave one option in Les Gets, but the room for my in laws has no bathroom. Any recommendations for a good Chalet? I'm hoping that wasn't their only availability. £700 per person and no ensuite seems a bit steep to me.....

Sorry - feel obliged to dive in and answer this one ...! Sure there will be something I can come up with - call the office number and ask for Chris - actually the only person here if you call today, ah the joys of being the gaffer ....

Chalet Majorie is lovely, and the food was fantastic.

I'm sure Chris will sort you out... we had the BEST ski holiday ever (after 7 years of Esprit....) last year with a last minute Ski Famille one.

They have been helpful so far, and the floor plans they do for the chalets are really good. Only problem we have is the flights and transfers coordinating, we may have to get a private transfer to fly from our local airport. Bit pricey, but may be a luxury worth paying for for an easier journey....

Have you definitely decided on Ski Famille?

We're going with The Family Ski Company next January and they have some great looking chalets too - might be worth a look.

Iwishiwasmoreorganised, no not looked at them, where have you booked, where do they go etc?

We're going to Ardent, not far from Morzine and I can't wait!

Have a look here

Have now looked at them I do want childcare in the same building so MIL is finding out availability in Chalet Davis in Les Coches, transfer time a bit long and cost of transfer steep. I think it's all swing s and round abouts, but thanks for the recommmedation. We're also looking at Ski Beat now, just to confuse us further! Enjoy your hols

We went around in circles trying to tick all of the boxes, but in the end had to make a compromise on the size of the resort.

We considered both of the companies that you've mentioned already, aswell as Esprit and some smaller companies without childcare (would have meant nannies or external creches)

Childcare for us with Family Ski is just in the chalet opposite - so not a trek across town. They did the childrens transfers at half price when I asked if they had to pay full price.

If you can fill a chalet, you're in a good position to negotiate on price too.

Hope you find something that fits the bill.

Also look at Le Ski - they have chalets with creche facilities in La Tania (3 Valleys). We are going back with them again this year - creche was great and DD was really happy there.
