Anyone been with Snowbizz to Puy Vincent?

I think after many hours researching I am nearly about to book with Snowbizz. Just keen to hear any reviews, stories, tips etc...good or bad before I do. We are a family of beginners with three Dc ages 9, 7 and 4.
Many thanks

Yes, a long time ago. It's a good setup there. Unfortunately when we went the head nanny (who also did the airport transfers) was utterly lazy, unpleasant and unhelpful. Apart from that one individual (who has probably long since left) it was great.

Thanks Snorkie...let's hope she has left. All good then...need to stop dithering and go for it!

Hiya

I've booked with them for this coming season. I've spoken to the owner and it does sound like a really good set-up. I'm hoping it lives up to my expectations because if it does we'll probably go with them again and again whilst the kids are little.

We went with them in 2008 and were very happy with the holiday (DCs were 3 and 6).

The nannies were very good and the set up was excellent.

We found everything reasonably priced (for a skiing holiday) and the childcare was very flexible so the children could spend some but not all afternoons in the creche. We even managed a meal out one night and one of the nannies babysat.

Both children had skiing lessons and they seemed to go very well (they were complete beginners).

Thanks to you both.. Happywomble that is really helpful and I am sure snowmummy pleased to hear all good too!
Have a great time sm...when are you going?

I think you'll like Puy St V - but no idea re Snowbizz!

snowmummy · 26/09/2009 21:13

We're going mid January

Puy StV is a really great family ski-resort. We went 3 or 4 yrs ago with Esprit and it is pretty much perfect for families.
No cars, everything in walking distance, compact and just the right size for children. Can really recommend it for children.

I went with Snowbizz last year, DS was just 5 months and his cousin was 14 months, so can't comment on childrens' ski tuition etc. Creche was great, we had no problems with any of the staff, in fact they couldn't do enough for us. Had a great time, would highly recommend. Resort is small and fairly quiet, so don't expect much nightlife, but skiing is good, scenery is gorgeous and there are hardly any lift queues.

can't wait

i can't wait either. Small lift queues and quiet nightlife sounds right up our street. and they will even have face painting for the kids! DH suspects DD will have better social life than we do (but not really because early nights and skiing are fab!!!)
