Tamworth snowdome lessons for kids

I am thinking of booking my 4yr old into the 'kinderski' lessons over the summer. Has anyone else tried them? We are going skiing next winter and I wanted her to be a bit prepared, so thought this might be the way to go.
Any comments anybody?
ps me &husband love skiing/boarding (but are not skilled!) so odds are she will have a lot of ski holidays in the future

Hi - I haven't used the Tamworth place, but did take my then 7 yr old DS1 to a dry slope for a couple of lessons. It was useful for getting the feel of boots and skis as much as anything, and did help when he got to the snow. I'd imagine that actual snow (even in a snowdome) would be even better.

Friends have taken their DC to Castleford a couple of times, since their first ski holiday, and reported well worthwhile

Would recommend having the lessons now whilst it is cheaper and far quieter than it will be from October onwards and you are likely to get some of the more experienced instructors during the quiet periods. In my experience the instructors at Tamworth are excellent - I know someone who travelled there even though Milton Keynes was nearer as he felt the teaching was so much better. The Kids Junior Club sessions on Saturday mornings are good value and fun once they get to recreational level.

For anyone interested my DD has now had 2 lessons, passed them both and is looking forward to more lessons. They are well taught and she enjoys them (but maybe the muffin and chocolate after more so!). I think they are well worth the effort to get there.
