We are booking holiday for next April -1st week - and can't decide between these 2 resorts. We have 3 children who will be 13 11 and 9 - 9 yr old has DS and needs one to one tuition and childcare in afternoon. Chalet in La Rosiere is with Esprit and has both but I feel La Rosiere might not be high enough at that time of year. Any thought would be greatly received.

We went to La Ros this year at the end Mar/early April. There was still good snow cover, but it started melting fast even during the week we were there. It is a south-facing slope, so gets slushy in the afternoon, freezes overnight and is icy in the morning.

That said, the accommodation was a great location - easy access to the slopes, and easy to get back to. The skiing isn't very challenging though, and the drag lift over into Italy is, well, a bit of a drag.

We've also been to Les Arcs (2000) with Esprit, and the snow would be much more reliable at that time of year I expect?
The skiing would be more varied, and more easily accessible to.
The Esprit accommodation (at 2000 at least) is not so accessible, but it's not bad either. The pool in one of the chalet hotels was a welcome addition too.
