2nd attempt to post a review of Le Braconnier, La Rosiere!!!

Typed out a really long review which took me ages and it has disappeared. Haven't had any joy from MNHQ so I am going to give you a much shorter version here!

We went to La Rosiere on 8th Feb with Ski Esprit.

Chalet:- thought La Braconnier was lovely. Our room (suite 2) was very big. Chalet was always clean and tidy and our rooms very cleaned every day.

Staff:- Everyone we met was very friendly, knowledgable and willing to help. The resort rep came round every evening to check everything was ok and see if we wanted to book anything which he did there and then.

Food:- We thought the food was lovely (and well presented). Childrens food was spot on and all ten of the children in our chalet wolfed it down.

Resort:- Don't think we got the best out of the resort as the weather was very iffy for the first four days. Doesn't feel like a massive ski area unless you can ski into Italy (which I thought was better) but the lifts aren't always open if the weather is bad. The lifts seemed a bit unreliable as well. They nearly always stopped at least once when we were on them!

Ski school for children:- DS loved skiing and has picked it up really quickly. He was up the top of the mountain with us by day three-so that for us makes everything worthwhile!

We would def use esprit again and also go to La Rosiere again. It all seemed very organised and all the children that we saw seemed to be happy and having a great time.

Hi Sunshine

I did a review of Schatzi just after we got back which never appeared either.

Glad you had a great time - our weather the week before wasn't great - really windy and foggy over in Italy - we had to give up and come back one day.

The childcare was great - Ricky was the Snow Ranger all the kids seemed to love - he did a great job when my DS got a bit stroppy a couple of times!

Schatzi was excellent - we were very lucky as there were only two other families staying there and we had a proper chef from one of the chalet hotels that week as well. I think it would be really hectic if it was full though.

No idea where to go for next yr - DD1 wants to do ski school again (she will be 9.5) but will be intermediate plus which Esprit don't do everywhere. I think we'll just have to go with the flow a bit - we have done La Ros 3 times now and I do fancy a change but when you look around I keep coming back to it as its so convenient!

toomanyprojects,

obergurgl was good - our dcs are between 8 and 12 and they had a fab time in ski school

there were pros and cons in comparison to la ros, but we didn't regret the change at all!

Just got back from Le Braconnier in La Rosiere with ski esprit. We had a great time too. Lovely chalet, great food, excellent location, very good childcare, enthusiastic staff. 11yr old skied with us (he's going to be better than me soon!), 4yr old snowclub and spritelets ski group (got very tired but mostly enjoyed it), 1yr old nursery (settled well considering doesn't go to nursery at home).

Hi everyone

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you on this but the Ski reviews are all up and running now - see:

Ski Reviews

There will always be a delay between you posting the review and it going live on the site as it is edited - image and website added etc. by MNHQ. We do have quite a backlog hence the delay. Thanks so much for sending these reviews in and if you've just come back from ski-ing holiday, please do send a review.

Cheers,

Rachel
