if you are taking your dcs out of school beware of this lady!!!

we got harranged by a british lady (with, i must admit, a very nice fur hat) when we stopped for lunch in obergurgl a week or two ago...she was up in arms about the number of english children she was encountering on the slopes when they should have been at school - our four included.

when my dp asked her (a bit bemused) 'are you a teacher?' she said, 'no i'm just a conscientious parent.'!!

then she went on to explain just what a dedicated parent she was - she was there for the season and was flying her daughter out from her boarding school to join her for the week - and doing this at half term was costing her an extra £300!

should we have felt guilty?

Erm..........no!!

What a daft mare she really is.

She probably resented the fact that the slopes weren't completely clear for her and her DD...

You should have told her they were home educated.
