How would St Anton be for a non-skier with baby??

Not quite true - I am a skier but 4 MO DD will not take a bottle so it looks like it will be her and me.

Great deal with Esprit but I was wondering what people's experience of St Anton was and how it would be wandering around for a week...

Bumping for you.

I remember it being a smallish but charming village, plenty of cafes etc.. We had to drop a hire car in Salzburg I think it was, and took the train back to St Anton, so you could possibly do a day trip there if you get bored in St Anton. (I could be remembering this wrong though, it was a couple of years back )

No it was Innsbruck we got the train from.

Thank you! Will work on DD taking bottle. .

I went wih Esprit to St Anton when pregnant two yrs ago and spent the week wandering about. To be honest it's not that big and I ended up reading lots of books! There is a nice leisure centre with a pool which goes outside but I guess you couldn't take her in there for very long.

You could take a train for excursions.

If you haven't booked yet - have a look at some of the resorts where the nursery is close to the slopes - we are going to La Rosiere - the nursery in Schatzi is just off the slopes so you could pop back for feeds quite easily.

Hi we are going skiing in st anton with friends in feb too. there will be 1 5MO an 1 6MO. i am more concerned about how easy it will be to get nappies (pampers newborn size 2 and active fit size 3) and formula (cow and gate) as i really don't fancy carrying an extra suitcase just for the LO's milk and nappies and wipes etc... (i think i will end up posting a box of baby supplies beforehand to the chalet if they will allow it...) does anyone have any advice?

ds was still in nappies when we went one summer and it wasn't a problem (Pampers and Huggies available as well as own brands) and there is also a large chemist which sells Hipp, milupa etc but C and G not sold in Europe .

IME of trips to Austria and Switzerland with baby/toddler - extremely easy to get nappies/wipes/baby food - but the formulas tend to be different from here.
