Piou Piou Club

I've booked my 3.5 year old in to Piou Piou Club in Alp d'Huez next month. I understand that they get to try out skis so am I correct in assuming that I need to arrange ski and boot hire for her or is that done by the club? Has anyone used them before?

It is part of the ESF ski school so I'd have a look here for info.

Looks to me as if she'll need skis etc. You will need to organise that as ESF won't. All I did for my ds was email the ski hire shop with his height/weight/shoe and helmet size. They then arranged to have them at the chalet for when we arrived. Not sure what the arrangement is in Alpe d'huez but it doesn't take long to kit them out and it isn't as expensive as adult skis/boots.

My DD age 3 did Piou Piou in La Rosiere at New year. They do ski (for 2 1/2 hrs each moring in our case) so your daughter would need skis, ski boots and helmet (no poles at this age).

The skiing is very basic..gliding on skis under archways, trying to do a snow plough by the end. It is all in the fenced nursery slope area (well it was in La Rosiere).

If you don't want your daughter to ski the ESF probably offer an indoor creche as an alternative.
