Hi ladies, am new to the skiing board but hoping someone can help me out; I have spent hours and hours and HOURS trying to sort us out a skiing holiday but going round in circles due to tricky requirements and cr*p companies. So...
Can anyone suggest any good, or at least reasonable, ski operators to look at who do flights from UK regional airports - specifically the North East (Newcastle, Leeds/Brad, Teesside or Edinburgh)? Preferably ones with a reasonable choice of holidays as I am trying to keep several people happy who all have very different wishlists. We have used Neilson in the past and liked them, but they don't do anywhere nearer than Manchester, but now we have DS we would much prefer somewhere nearer and that doesn't need an overnight stay. Thank you loads!

It is difficult! We always book last minute through Iglu www.igluski.com.

I suggest you phone them and speak to someone as they have more than what is on the site and have cancellations and last minute things etc. They have always been super helpful - if you dont get someone super helpful hang up and ring back another time and we usually manage to get someone who is totally into skiing and understands what we want.

If you tell them what you need they will search thru their lists from all the different companies and come up with a couple of options for you. Much better than doing it yourself.

Or if you have a branch of travel counsellers near you they will also do the research and come back to you with options.

Good luck.

Thanks, will take a look at some of those, Iglu especially sounds good. One of the ones you mentioned is the one most making my head explode at the moment though, so will continue to avoid them!

Phew, finally got something booked! Though it was with the company that was annoying me, I would have preferred to go with someone else after all that hassle but they did have the best suitable deals. Going to Tignes in Feb, wahey! Thanks for all the tips.
