Thanks to the mum who suggested looking at Adams' stuff. It's SOOOO cheap I just wondered if anyone has bought any and can tell me if it does the job in terms of insulation and waterproof-ness? don't want a ten quid jacket if it doesn't do teh job BUT, if they are good, I want to get in there and nab them!

Hi there

I'm the mum who recommended it!

It definitely seemed to do the job with my DS. Admittedly he was only 18 mths so not skiing, but he did play out in the snow and was out and about in some crazy snowstorms and was kept warm and dry. We bought him the jacket, trousers and the fleeces (which are great and he is still wearing now- all good quality imho). We are definitely going to buy the same this year and with 3 for 2 as well- BARGAIN!!

Thanks Wigglesmum. We had H and M jackets last year (which my 2 used for school as well, they are 4 and 6). Even H & M was more expensive than this! I'd rather spend the moeny on good lessons etc. than on ski kit they can only wear for a week and then doesn't fit the next year. I reckon if they have good layers under something like this we'll be fine.

Haven't tried Adams but you can get some really good kids stuff at TKMaxx - probably not quite as cheap as Adams but some is really good quality.

I was going to say Adams is worth a look.

What age and gender are you looking for?

ninja · 12/09/2008 18:51

sorry = I meant TKMaxx

verylapsedrunner · 13/09/2008 12:39

Wow, the Adams stuff looks great. Also worth keeping an eye out for the Tchibo stuff.

paddingtonbear1 · 13/09/2008 12:53

not tried the skiwear but have had other adams stuff and it's always been fine.

Catfeena · 15/09/2008 12:34

Can I revive an old thread and ask if anybody tried the Adams ski wear? Is it warm? I can't get to a store, so I've only looked at it online. It's cheap and I'm tempted. I don't want to fall into the "buy cheap, buy twice" trap.

Any comments much appreciated!

LIZS · 15/01/2009 15:36

adams aren't going to be trading much longer so be sure of availability

Belo · 15/01/2009 15:49

I think the online store is carrying on as normal - for the time being anyway, whilst they hunt for a buyer.

wigglesmum · 17/01/2009 22:07

It's really good quality- very warm. My son is still using the jacket as his winter jacket.
Much better quality than the Tchibo kit I bought this year for my DS- the belt hook fell off after one day leaving a sharp bit- I'm just back from my hol and am taking it back.
Would've bought Adams this year buit they had sold out of my DS's size

Thanks wigglesmum. I have ordered some!
