Has anyone been to Zakopane in Poland? DH doesn’t ski but me and kids love it. We’ve been to France a few times and Andorra. We think Zakopane might be a good option as lots of other winter things to do. Also mindful of costs as we don’t have a super high budget. Planning to go in Feb half term.
Thanks

I've been to Białka Tatrzańska this January. It is not far from Zakopane but I guess your choice is based on wanting to experience harder slopes. We had 2 newbies in our party, 1 very experienced skier, and 3 of medium level. We travelled by Flexi bus from Kraków. To Zakopane you have an easy journey by train.
Our very experienced skier loved long days, slopes are lit till 10 pm on many slopes in Poland, and we had an amazing snow, best in 10 years we were told. We chose hotel walking distance fron the slopes and a b&b with a generous breakfast. Once you decide where to book ypur hotel I'd say to book lessons asap, your timing will coincide with Polish schools winter holidays so it is going to be busy. You should be able to afford 2 lessons/day for your beginner husband. He'll progress v.fast in that week. Pm me if you have more questions.
