Recommendations for mid-range chalet rentals within two and a half hours of Geneva

Can anyone suggest any decent companies for chalet rental within 2,5 hours of Geneva? I'm trying to find something that's neither in the slightly grubby, very basic, bus to the lifts & 5k a week range, nor the hyper luxury, festooned with animal skins, 30-50k a week type of thing.

We have a non-skier in the group, so don't just want somewhere to flop and sleep, but aren't hedge fund managers. Any ideas of where to look, or companies you'd recommend?

I used to have an apartment in Samoens which is a lovely village under an hour from Geneva airport. Take a look at Alps Accommodation which covers this and surrounding villages. I don’t have any benefit from this recommendation and I just mention them as it’s a lovely area and the company are great at what they do.

Have you tried Emerald stay? They have high end chalets but also cater for people wanting quality apartments in many resorts.

When you say chalet do you mean a self catering rental or.a catered chalet? I don’t know anything about catered chalets and they seem to be dwindling as the years go by, but SC St Martin has a variety of SC options, I think it’s a couple of hours from GVA
