We are going to Mongenvre in December as recommended by a mumsnetter

how do I go about finding a ski school we have a 8, 14 and 17 year old - teens have been with the school but we haven't been.

how do I find a good ski school? I think they will all go into thier own age groups as opppsed to us having one instructor for all of us.

thanks

I second A peak. They are the best ski we've used!

Hi @Remmy123, can I ask how you found Montgenevre overall? I'm looking at going in three weeks with my 15 and 16 year old. Thanks.

We were in Montgenevre at Easter last year and really liked it. Depends what you are looking for though - it’s a great beginner/ intermediate resort which was perfect for us - though you’ll have access to a much bigger area in Feb than we had in Easter. It’s not very lively and there’s almost nothing on the mountain, you’ll likely end up back in town for lunch (we were a big fan of the little crepe restaurant just opposite the main ski building). At Easter it was nice and quiet with minimal lift queues.

Thanks @brightgreenpepper. Can I ask where you stayed and how you liked it? Also is it possible to get to Claviere in the evening by walking/public transport.

We were in the MMV aparthotel at the top end of the town - we were happy with it, used the outdoor pool a bit but didn’t bother with any of the other entertainment really. It would rather better in high season as there wasn’t enough snow for it to be ski in/out when we were there.

I doubt Claviere is walkable - it’s not that far but the main road isn’t walking friendly. I couldn’t tell you if there was a public transport but there are taxis.
