In April i had a fab week in the French Alps in Megeve. my new man/boyfriend has an apartment out there and it was a lovely place. Megeve is very French, and not at all touristy with barely any ~Brits. So if you want to avoid the English ski lot its a superb place to ski. The pistes and brilliant and in abundance. The apartment was very close to the Ski shop to hire boots, skis etc and just beyond was the main cable car lift up the slopes. Also nearby only 100 yards away was the local grocers store for all immediate supplies. Nearest airport is Geneva, 1 hr 30 mins drive. Can advise more if anyone is interested in taking a small apartment to ski.
