Easyjet - can I cancel 2 members of the party without charge?

Morning, looking for urgent insight please

Friend organised a ski trip. Flight to Geneva is Tuesday morning. Back to Luton on Friday.

She has 4 people on her easyJet booking but only 2 can go now.

She is not looking for a refund but someone has told her she will be charged for cancelling £49 each way for each person ...... is this true?

Is there anyway of not being charged?

TIA!

Just don't fly. They can't charge for not turning up.

Is there a risk they cancel the whole of the return leg tho? For the whole party.

Which she has been told can happen.

Wondering
If this is true.....

No, I don't think so. I couldn't go with my friends for a recent trip and all was fine.

Section 3 suggests that the rest of the flights on the booking will not be affected.

They may be able to claim the government tax back if they dint fly though won't get a refund in the tickets.

My friend didn't fly with me late last year.
She obviously didn't get a refund but my flights weren't affected at all.
