Quiet resort for young children skiers

Planning on taking the children out of school sometime in March (flexible on timings) so will be travelling off peak. Where would you recommend for quiet resorts with lots of blue/green wide runs?
Did Sainte Foy last year on advice of mums et- fantastic but the easiest blue was a track through the woods- looking for a nice wide easy blue this time.
Montgenevre is often recommended but the lack of mountain restaurants is putting me off!

Cervinia

Courchevel has lots of wide, easy blues. Puy St Vincent is a small, family-friendly resort. Les Gets is good for families. Our kids learned to ski in Zauchensee. Ellmau is another good resort for beginners.

Puy St Vincent, Les Orres or Vars/Risoul. First 2 have 100km pistes and the latter jointly 180km. Lots of good green/blues and it’s hard to get lost - lots of trees and restaurant options.

Another vote for Les Gets here we used to stay in Les Coches.Lovely easy runs.

Agree with resort suggestions above, or look at Les Saisie (lovely set of runs along one of the small mountains above the main village, lots of wide green and blue runs) or Les Clusaz (lovely beginner peak of greens and blues, with lots of longer wide progression runs on some of the other peaks).

Puy st Vincent. Very kid friendly place.

Thanks for everyone’s help. I have just booked La Rosiere. Anybody know La Rosiere well?

We’re staying in Les Eucherts.

  • what are the blue runs like in Les Eucherts- are there any very easy ones or are we best heading over to the greens in La Rosiere? For our young children.
  • the path through the trees between La Rosiere and Les Eucherts- is this likely to be snowy in mid March? Thinking how we get the children along this if they’ve got tired legs post skiing. Double buggy or sledge?
  • whats the easiest way up from ESF ski school to the hotel Alparena- is there a path up the slope front or will be need ti walk up the road?

I don't know it well but our friends went last year and said it was lovely and cheap ! You could also drive to France the day if you fancied it.

Alparena is lovely - good choice! Yes there will be snow on path between Les Eucherts and La Rosiere.

You'll have to walk up the road from ESF meeting point, but there are cut throughs through the apartment blocks so it's shorter than it looks. You'll be able to ski back to the apartment before too long though - take the drag lift up and cut across the piste.

Easy blues on Les Eucherts side.

Have a great time!
