Bulgaria Ski (in January?)

Anyone skied in Bulgaria in recent years? My partner and I are thinking of it for a cheap weeks skiing but not sure which resort to go for. We’d also like to go in January but I’m reading that the snow can be pretty hit and miss there in January.
Anyone have any input?

If not Bulgaria, does anyone have any other budget recommendations for ski spots in January?

We were supposed to go end of December a couple of years ago... but itvwas cancelled due to lack of snow the day before we were due to go!

We are "lower budget", and have gone to Andorra, Italy and Austria. (And France on a last minute deal)

Been twice to Pamporovo in January and loved it 😊

What level of skiers are you? Are you looking for a package? I haven't been but have heard mixed reports. Those who've enjoyed have been beginners. If was me I'd go Andorra or Italy or a smaller resort in France.
