On the hunt for the perfect ski communication setup! Need something with clear audio, long range, and the ability to withstand winter conditions. Any suggestions? #skigear #wintersports #communication

It's years since I've seen anyone using an intercom on the slopes. Most people just use a mobile phone. As some iPhones and androids seem to lose battery power really quickly in cold weather, I know many people who have an old-fashioned brick phone - like a Nokia 110, £30 from Tesco - as a back-up. Good for texts and short calls and almost unbreakable, and if you lose it, it doesn't hurt as much as losing a £900 iPhone or Galaxy.

We used to use walki talkies from decathlon. However we now use phones.

Like pps we had Motorola walkie talkies years ago but graduated to phones a good few years ago now.

You can get something called a SENA Snowtalk that goes into your helmet and works as an intercom and also connects to your phone via Bluetooth (obviously you would need a compatible helmet). Or you can just use your mobile phone like others have suggested (DH has bone conducting ear phones that he wears under his helmet so he doesn't need to get his phone out of his pocket to answer it).

We’ve ditched ours for phones. Much better IMO

Are you in a race team 😂seriously we just use phones ourselves too. Had a friend bought a similar set up but it didn’t last a week!
