Holiday for ski and snowboarder

Hi all - does anyone have experience of holidays with skier and snowboarder? I have skied since I was little and my DH is learning to snowboard. We’d like to go away but I’ve only ever been on holiday with skiers. Has anyone done a holiday with both? How did you find it if so. Thanks!

A mixed group of skiers and snowboarders is not at all unusual.

As your DH is a beginner it doesn't matter whether he's on skis or on a snowboard - the first 2-3 days are going to be spent in lessons on the beginner slopes while you are off doing some skiing. If he only has morning lessons you can meet for lunch and spend time together on the slopes in the afternoon, remembering that for a while you're going to be going at his pace on slopes that he can manage. Once he gets the hang of it you'll be able to spend more time getting around together.

My DH and I snowboard but have always gone on trips with mixed groups with skiers. Some places are better than others with flat bits etc not being great but nowhere I'd not go back to. If you can avoid somewhere with too many button tows/ tbars as they are hellish when you're learning to snowboard.

DS took up boarding a few years ago and it’s not an issue. Having different abilities would be more of a problem.

Avoid drag lifts and you'll be fine. Your DH will be safer to board in front of you until he's more experienced and less likely to fall.
