Hinterglemm Ski In Ski Out with Buffet Dinner

Just on our way home from our first time taking the teens skiing (snowboarding for them) in Bulgaria on a last min short trip, already planning next year!

Would love to take them to Hinterglemm in Austria where I have been several times many years ago and think it would be a great resort that ticks all our boxes.

Given the dietary requirements we have to accommodate we think half board with a buffet dinner is one of our highest priority items! Set menu is going to mean some of the group will barely eat and we're not keen to go out to eat of an evening because everyone is so tired.

Can anyone recommend a great hotel with a buffet dinner? (And breakfast but this is more standard...)

Thanks!

I don't know about a buffet dinner, but many hotels will take into account dietry needs as long as you discuss them with the chef. Some are now also offering a vegetarian or vegan menu (not just a few things on the main menu) - see for example Hotel Theresia Your hotel with vegan cuisine | Gartenhotel Theresia (hotel-theresia.com) (Disclaimer - I know a chef that trained there)

There are a few All Inclusive hotels that have buffets as a part of the dinner - e.g. Hotel Sonne (between Saalbach and Hinterglemm) or the Alpinresort in Saalbach.

There are plenty of hotels close to the pistes in Saalbach and Hinterglemm, although ski in - ski out is less common and the few hotels right next to the pistes are the most expensive.

You could also look at the Tourist Office website (www.Saalbach.com) and click on the "Accommodation" tab, under which there is a filter menu (on the left side of the page) where you can select "Diet Menu / Wholefood" as a category which brings up a list of hotels - or send them (or the individual hotels) an email enquiry.

Some of these hotels are offered by Crystal and Inghams.

In the restaurant & in the organic gourmet full board plus of the 4*S Hotel Theresia with vegan cuisine, things are fantastically plant-based. The focus of our menu â–º always fresh, seasonal, wholesome & creatively prepared.
