Ski and snowboarding

DH needs a group to ski with!

I'm a very reluctant skier. DH is very keen and much better than me. We arranged to go with another couple in a few weeks and they now can't. I don't really want to go with DH, but don't want him to have to go alone - we couldn't ski together anyway as I'll be a nervous repeat beginner! Does anyone know of any groups for 'singles' to join?

Join the Ski Club if Great Britain. They organise meet ups in various resorts for this exact reason. Definitely worth the membership.

In general - join your local ski club, then he'll make ski buddies to go away with in the future . For the holiday that's already booked, get him to sign up to ski school as well as you, maybe he'll find someone to pal around with (and you could find someone in the beginners group).

Where are you going? It might be worth posting in a local FB page or contacting tourist office to see if there are any groups.

Join the Snowheads forum and post on there. There are bound to be people heading to wherever you're going in the same week.

Another vote for Snowheads. Even if nobody on that forum is actually going to be in resort, someone will post the name of the bar where "everyone" meets and where he'll get chatting to some like-minded folk. E.g. in Saalbach, that would be Bobby's (where Brits go to watch the rugby and football on Saturdays and Sundays after skiing) or Spitz Pub.

I went on the ladies only trip but there are a couple of other mixed group weeks that would suit www.pilaski.co.uk/images/PDF/Ski-Test.pdf
