ESF - Club Piou Piou

does anyone have experience with it, either in Les gets or another resort?

We have left it too late this yr to book ski lessons for our three kids and are finding it hard to find something for the 4 year old that works around drop off times for the 6 & 8 yr old. The only thing that would work is ESF club piou piou but I’ve not used it before and am not sure…

the other kids have skied before with esf but in the kids group lessons rather than piou piou. It’s always a bit hit and miss. I’m wondering if piou piou will be a lot of kids spending a lot of time standing around, putting gloves on etc and not actually skiing? Does anyone know if they actually go up the hill, as the 4 yr old can ski greens and easy blues?

I’m debating saying he is 5 (he will be 2 months off) so he can join the “Flocon” level proper lessons instead but would this be a stupid thing to do? He struggles with putting on gloves, coat etc etc so not sure if he would be expected to look after himself more than he is able.

Can he do turns? If he can already ski runs then he's not going to fit in Piou-Piou but yes, the instructors for Flocon would probably expect him to be able to manage his own gear.

Surely you just drop him having been for a wee, with coat and gloves on.

Yes he can do snowplough turns down greens and easy blues. So do you know if piou piou just stays on the nursery slopes?

If only it was this easy lol. The lessons last 2.5 hrs

If he can go greens and blues, Piou Piou might be too easy. I'd personally not lie about age but I'd have a chat with ESF about it and explain the situation, and see what they say.

Yes, they just stay in the Club Piou-Piou area and generally don't use any lifts, except any short rope tow/travelator they have there.

Club Piou-Piou just stay in their specific bit on the nursery slopes. It would be a waste of money if your DC can do greens and easy blues already.

Thanks for the clarification everyone, will call esf about it on Monday and see if he can go into the group ski lessons
