Ski Jacket Brands for older teens

My son needs a new jacket this year, 18, has had the same ALDI one for about 7 years :) so I thought i'd treat him to a nice one for Christmas. I don't mind spending a reasonable amount, around the £200 mark, but not the insane 100s and 100s of pounds ones. What are some good modern, lightweight, mid-range brands that ski/snow boarding teens would appreciate?

Mountain Warehouse have a Black Friday sale on their ski jackets at the moment. My teens wear them without fuss.

Dare 2B are good and reasonably priced.

Also, Decathlon do good value ski gear.

Dope Snow are excellent. As are their sister brand Montec.

Super nice styles, Dope is a bit more snowboard and Montec leans a bit more towards ski.
I have Dope gear and a very expensive Oakley Thermonuclear snowboard coat and honestly, I find the Dope gear just as good.

Ah thankyou all and interesting you mention Dope Snow and Montec, I was just looking at their websites. His brother, who is a bit younger, got a Montec one 2y ago and I have to say it is excellent quality. So maybe we'll look at those 2.

I get all their midlayer fleeces from mountain warehouse and trousers, goggles, gloves, neck warmers etc from Decathlon but unfortunately he wouldn't consider their jackets a significant step up from Aldi 🤣 for a Christmas present (although I have to say, it has been excellent and he's done probably 6 or 7 ski trips in it and leaner it to friends multiple times). I also had an excellent Decathlon jacket before my current one which was very good as well (current one is from Strobe who I can also recommend highly as a brand if anyone is looking for a new jacket, not quite garish enough for my teens though 😄).

Any other recommendations welcome!

DH and I have just treated ourselves to a Dope one each for this coming season. We went for the hoody style ones. I've worn mine a couple of times already to the hockey sidelines, and I was toasty and comfortable as well. Plus they look great.

I'm looking for a new jacket for my preteen and wondered if he'd like a similar style, but his specs are 'zip front and inside pockets'.

Quiksilver have some great, cool styles for teens too and they're a similar price to Dope.

Go to SportsPursuit.com - Plenty of decent makes at half price. eg. Spyder, Helly Hansen, Oakley, Marmot, O'Neill.

Volcom, Burton, 686 are brands teen boys would like. Lots of Black Friday sales on to bring it in on budget. Also check out absolute snow for a range of jackets.

My 18yo likes Volcom, Vans, 686 and O'Neill. These are more skater/snowboard style. The likes of Helly Hansen, Spyder etc are more of a traditional ski look. So depends what he's into!
