Best budget under layers

Usually ski at Easter with T-shirts under jackets but going to Italy during Feb half term and aware will need to layer up and be prepared for much colder conditions. Any recommendations for good value under layers (for teens, women's and men's)?
I had lovely merino leggings years ago but moths ate them 😢

Sports pursuit is your friend you can get top and bottom sets on there for around £25. They don't always pop up in obvious places so worth searching on the site but also on Google for the sets.

You only really need a few sets and just air them a day in between!

Aldi have perfectly good merino base layers at sensible prices - but their annual ski promotion started last weekend so might already have sold out.

Lidl have their ski week on now!

Also decathlon for me have the best combination of price and quality - their merino t-shirt I wear all year round and their ski socks are good, I buy a different colour for each person in the family so that we know exactly whose that random sock lying about is!
