Ski Esprit with older children?

DS1 really enjoyed la Rosiere last year with Ski Esprit (he was 9), but I felt maybe he was getting to the older end of the age range of the children and was in the top ski class then. He has asked if we can go back there next year, but he will be 11, and am wondering if there are likely to be any other s of his age, as they seemed mostly to be up to about 8. Any views on this gratefully received...

It does mainly seem to be younger kids. The (small)chalet we stayed in this year had one other couple apart from our group - their boys were 10 and 8. But I thin they must have been the eldest in any of the Esprit chalets in the resort that week. I suppose if yoi go to one of the bigger chalets then you have more chance of their being some other kids his own age there. My dd was very disgruntled that she was the only girl in the chalet this year, and none of the boys were her age - at least she had friends in snow club.

They have a related company Total Ski(iirc) who cater for slightly older kids/teens. If he has a younger sibling he might be ok.

LIZ - yes - thanks I remember now - am looking @ Total. Oe of the good things about Esprit is that they travel on Sundays like MW avoiding the Saturday crush.

my ds (9)and dd1 (7) are skiing with esprit this week - they have a 9 yo boy and 10yo girl twins in their chalet and are having a fantastic time.
Im not sure I've seen any secondary age children there ever though. my two haven't done the lessons this year - they are skiing with their father and are having a really enjoying it.

I think Total do Sunday changeover as well. Have often shared a transfer bus with people from an Esprit sister company. They all seem to be childless though, not even have teenagers and look grumpy having to get on a bus full of screaming, puking toddlers.

try the laregr chalet hotels, more likeihood of older children. TBH it depnds if they need lessons or not. We went wioth our 2 - 6 and 8 this year and will go back next year (9 and 7) and poss/prob one more year after that, then I feel they will be up to skiing all day with us. Also they do this and have a 'teen team' thing for older kids
