We are taking our DS for his first holiday. He will be with snow club and spritelets all day and husband and I have booked lessons for part of the day.
We have never stayed in a chalet before. How much money really should we allow approximately for the week - I know we'll need money for lunches for us and dinner out one night but any idea how much to take?
Thanks

250 euros ? Have you got to pay anything for lift passes, ski/boot hire, lessons or as a deposit ? Also there is an indoor pool in Kaprun so you'd need to pay an entarnce fee . We no longer bother with trvellers cheques - you pay commission to cash them and have hassle doing so and find it more convenient to use a cash point.

All ski-related stuff is pre-booked and paid for and even cakes after skiing included at chalet. Travellers checks are a real pain when skiing as you are never near a bank during the day.

Can I ask - How did you get on in Kaprun. I am thinking of taking my 7, 4 and 1 year old there. What did you think of the place, travel time and service by Esprit?
