DH really wants to go skiing in Slovenia. Has anyone been before or knows whether it is good for skiing?

Any recommendations?

If you have never skied before and are beginners, then somewhere like Kranjska Gora can be fine as long as there is sufficient snow. Prices are reasonable and facilities are OK.

If you're experienced and already used to Austria, Italy or France then Slovenia might be a bit underwhelming.

The first two times we brought all the kids we skied in KG! We had already skied in many other places pre kids so were familiar with Austria, Italy etc.

We absolutely loved it ! Yes the runs are limited but it was perfect for beginners and amazing value .

KG was lovely but there wasn’t much snow when we went in Feb 3 years ago.

KG is beautiful. Only around 45km pistes, but charming. We went to Bled for the day, which was stunning
