I’m looking on eBay/Vinted etc so would love some recommendations of ski brands that look cute (haha this is important!) but are functional. I’m just browsing for second hand so some inspiration would be good. I need a jacket and pants but also might get some more base layers etc.

Burton, Protest, Billabong have nice designs and are good quality but depends on your style.

Wiennetta · 12/01/2023 10:37

Thanks @thisplaceisweird! Will have a look 😊

Perfect Moment

itsallgonepetetongagain · 12/01/2023 10:44

Oooo and Goldberg!

Wiennetta · 12/01/2023 10:47

Ah I love Perfect Moment @itsallgonepetetongagain - was looking at a jacket on Outnet. Do you have anything from them/it worth the price? I couldn’t work out if it’s more style over substance or whether they’re also really functional. I am tempted!

For base layers I’m a big fan of Icebreaker. It’s merino wool. I’ve had some of my stuff for about 18 years and still going strong!

I'm a snowboarder so tend more to skate brands like DC, Protest, O'Neill etc. the kids love Planks. If I was a skier looking for cute I'd probably go Poivre Blanc for French style sophistication.

livingthegoodlife · 12/01/2023 19:50

Ice breaker base layers or Kari Traa?

Roxy?

Surferrosa74 · 12/01/2023 22:08

Fusalp or Bognor but ££££

Wiennetta · 13/01/2023 07:53

Thanks everyone! Loving the suggestions. Lots on eBay - watching about 20 different jackets at the moment haha.

Toni Sailer & Kjus.
Not heard good things about Perfect Moment -- style over substance exactly

I have an old PM jacket and it's FAB. Heard later stuff not so good 😬

I have a Roxy jacket. It started as a surf brand but moved into snow wear. Its target market is women. I also wanted something I would look good in and think it's pretty stylish. I was warm and dry in it on our last trip, so it ticks the functional box.

Salomon does a nice women's range, too.

LIZS · 13/01/2023 17:02

Schoeffel, Poivre Blanc, Spyder

itsallgonepetetongagain · 13/01/2023 17:50

My Sunday ski are good too

PickleSarnie · 14/01/2023 21:28

Snow finel base and midlayers are brilliant and look good too.

Planks for outerwear. I have ski pants from there and they are awesome. Long and high waisted. I think I'm going to get a new ski jacket from them this year.

HelenHywater · 14/01/2023 21:35

falke baselayers are nice. And socks.

I have a couple of older Perfect Moment jackets and a pair of the trousers and they're fine (I must admit I'm ok with style over substance though!). Kjus (I think it's called) too.

I bought all my kids' ski wear off Vinted last time we went and probably wouldn't buy new ever again.

Tailfeather · 14/01/2023 21:53

There's some great Dope stuff on Vinted.

Wiennetta · 20/01/2023 21:29

Thanks everyone! Found loads of great stuff from your recommendations on both Vinted and eBay and just got a jacket from Vinted :)

Poivre Blanc ski pants are very flattering, really comfortable.
