Ski Schools and Accommodation at Les Arcs

Our children normally have private tuition lessons at a small ski school in Meribel during Feb half term, but fancy a change so am looking at Les Arc.
Does anyone have a small, friendly ski school they could recommend in Les Arcs? My children speak French, so no need for an English speaking school.

Don't know which height Les Arcs we'll be going to yet as haven't started looking at accommodation, so any recommendations for self-catering apartments would be most welcome!

Finally, we'll be arriving by train at Bourg St-Maurice and the funicular looks dead easy to get up to Les Arcs. Has anyone had experience of it though?

Also, are slopes on Les Arcs good for beginners /intermediates?

Hi, just seen this message so sorry for the late reply. It depends which village you go to in Les Arcs. If you are in Arc 1950 then we have always used Spirit 1950 which is part of Evo 2. Same in Arc 2000 and they are also in Arc 1800. There is also AIM who cover the whole resort and are excellent. The funicular takes you to Arc 1600 so if you go to any of the other villages you have to get the shuttle bus from Arc 1600. If you buy your ski passes in Bourg, the funicular is included. There are some great blue runs above Arc 2000 and down to Peisey and the red runs through the trees on the Peisey side are some of my favourite runs. Let me know if you have any other questions.

@Skilover Thank you for the Ski School recommendation. Sadly AIM have no availability for private tuition for the half term week, so we think we'll need to go with ESF
