Les Arcs ski pass

Not been skiing for a loooong time, but we've booked Les Arcs for 2023.

Has anyone been recently? (Last few years?)

Back in the day when I used to ski it was paper passes, we used to have in a little plastic wallet type thing on the end of a retractable lanyard. Is this still a thing?

Specifically trying to work out for Les Arcs if I need to order a) retractable lanyard, b) waterproof little clear wallet if still paper based but can be zapped from your pocket without taking it out, c) totally electronic and need to do nothing.

Thanks!

It's a hands-free card that you can re-charge: you keep it in the card pocket on your jacket sleeve (if you have one) and it activates the turnstile at the ski lift. Have a look here for details www.seelesarcs.com/ski-passes/#var_5198

Thank you both! Really appreciate it.
Just got to check my ski jacket has a pocket on the left sleeve 😂

Thank you, just checked and I do have the left arm pocket! Apparently my jacket isn't as out of date as my ski pass knowledge.

The sleeve pocket is so useful. On our first ski holiday, we realised when we arrived that DH was the only one who didn't have that pocket (Mountain Warehouse jacket). He put it in his salopettes pocket. He's tall, but it was still funny to watch him hitch a hip up everytime we went through the barrier so it could read.

He's still got that jacket, so I look forward to watching him do it again this year.

You will probably pay a deposit for the card. We paid 8€ (2€ per card) and they gave ut back as cash upon return of the cards.

I don't have a proper ski coat, so my pass lives in a 'bouncer's arm band' www.amazon.co.uk/ID-SIA-License-Badge-Holder/dp/B00U8VAYOS/.

Prior to that it lived in a chest pocket, and it got really embarrassing wafting a tit on the sensor on the ski bus.
