Hi everyone, I'm looking to book a ski holiday during Feb half term and trying to avoid France = crowds/long queues. We are looking for a beginner friendly resort so lots of greens and blues with a great ski school. I found a package at Trysil (Norway) at the Radison Blue Mountain Resort Residences through skiScandinavia. I would GREATLY appreicate any feedback on Trysil, the Radison or the booking company!

We stayed at the Radisson Blu in Trysil twice when our kids were very young/starting out and it was perfect for them and us. Ski-in/out, very family friendly, well-equipped apartment. Ski slopes great for young kids/beginners - we were there in Feb holidays both times but rarely had to queue more than a couple of minutes and slopes were not busy, making them safe for little ones too.

Snow cover was great the first time, not so good 2nd, but well groomed every night, so it was fine.

Ski school was great as all the instructors spoke excellent English and were good with little ones. There were little huts on the nursery slopes and frequent breaks for the littlest ones.

I'd definitely recommend!

Thank you for the feedback! Did you find Trysil significantly colder than Austrian or Italian ski resorts?

Didn't find it colder - it's much lower altitude so that helps counter the more northerly location. Did get a bit windy one afternoon and biting cold wind with it, which reminded me of skiing at Cairngorm!
