Serre Chevalier or Les Deux Alpes?

2 adults, intermediate skiers planning to go in Feb half term. Would you recommend either of these resorts? The piste maps seen to show that Serre Chevalier has the best ski range. My main concern is long lift queues and the slowness of lifts.
This is the last year before retirement, in future we'll go in term time when the slopes are quieter!

I've been to 2Alpes several times and love it. Some lovely runs. By far my favourite place to go though is Tignes

It was about 15 years ago, but I didn't really like Serre Chevalier as a town. The skiing was good I seem to remember, but I prefer les Portes de Soleil or Chamonix.Never been to Les Deux Alpes.,

I've not been to Les Deux Alpes, but have been to Serre Chevalier a number of times.

It's actually a series of villages each with their own character. We have stayed in Monetier les Bains a number of time and it's a proper village with lots of local character and you have the spa baths as well ( although they are not all that).

The skiing is treelined and not that busy during British February half term.

There are a couple of slow lifts - one is funny as it's for a lovely blue run but it takes longer to get there than it does to ski down ( unless you're my DH).

Oh and not that many Brits at SC at half term - think it's because it's nearer Italy than France. If you do go there, do not fly to Grenoble. Absolutely horrendous this year - took us 6 hrs to do a 3.5 hr drive and the airport is not equipped for half term hoards.

Fly to Turin, it's a much nicer airport and a pleasant two hour drive to the resort.

Les Deux Alpes every time. Serre Chevalier has okay skiing but I found the resort itself very dull with limited bars and restaurants.

As PP says SC isn’t a town as such, it’s a series of villages, and none are particularly big so it’s not the resort for you if you want lots nightlife, shops and fine dining options! That said, when I went at Feb HT (a fair few years ago now) it was not particularly busy and there were very few Brits so it’s not a bad shout to avoid the queues.

It’s even worse if it snows there. That airport is not designed to hold such a large amount of people.
