We’ve just got back from an absolutely brilliant ski hotel and are thinking about next year but now need to book a chalet

We need childcare for a 1yo, ski school for a 5, 10 and 13yo, and a snow sure resort for everyone else
Ski in/out would be amazing

We’ve previously gone with SkiBeat, Ski Total and Crystal but all the chalets seem to have disappeared and those that are left seem to be either tiny for 6 people or for 20+

Are there any companies we need to look at?

Happy to consider organising our own travel for the right company but don’t want self catering

Mark Warner does family friendly skiing.

They also seem to have moved much more towards hotels, unfortunately

I suppose it’s probably a result of Brexit killing off the supply of chalet staff plus the new(ish) french minimum wage rules, but it’s a shame they don’t seem to be a viable option any more

As much as we have loved some of the hotels we’ve stayed in, it’s very limiting after kids bed time and we quite fancy a few evenings of sitting around with wine and cards without it costing €50+ per room for babysitting

We’re going with ski famille, they have chalets, childcare, ski school, babysitting options etc.

We’re going to la plagne but they have a few different locations.

We’ve not been yet but on paper they definitely offer what you need.

Have you thought about Club Med? their prices include lift passes and 5 full days ski lessons, ideal for the skiing children.

We skied at the new Club Med resort in Les Arcs, it was brilliant. If you book with one of their agents you will get a better deal, we always use Ski Line

I have also skied with Ski Famille, which was also recommended by another member, they are very good, but by the time you add in ski passes and lessons, Im sure Club Med will be cheaper.

We have had a lot of ski holidays with Ski Basics in Meribel. I think they are great, and they offer kids dinner in their catered chalets, which makes my life so much easier, and the chalet hosts are excellent with kids!

The three valleys is also a great ski areas for all abilities.
