as am finding it hard to find a pair of salopettes that actually don't trail along the floor behind me??? waist usually fine... it's the length!... so i suppose i should have said do short women go skiing?... (am rather chubby though!)

or do you just roll them up... or is skiing only for the kate moss's of the world?!

Glad I'm not the only one - I managed to get a pair Dare2be salopettes with a 29in leg a couple of years ago and I still have to turn them up. They are a size 16 and just a little bit snug if I'm honest, but I can't justify buying a new pair.

Have a look at outdoormegastore.co.uk at their (I think) White Rock Snowfit Slims - they are short-legged salopettes for 'bigger' people - shortest leg length was 26in (I think) but they get longer as the waist gets bigger. They were £57 but I just can't justify the expense for 1 week every couple of years.

I'm short and chubby (5ft and size 18) and when I've got the actual ski boots on it gives you a pretty good 'lift' and also the inside bit is elasticated so fits snug over the boot but the outside can trail a bit without you getting wet or anything

I'm 5'5, I just wear black leggings/ski pants and a ski jacket.

I've bottled skiing about 5 times.

Never found any salopettes I was happy with either.

Sorry no advice, just wanted to condole with you!

There's a business opportunity out there somewhere isn't there?

JackieNo · 03/01/2008 15:41

We don't run either, apparently. V difficult to find sportswear in anything over a size 16, I find. And I have short legs too.

... well no wonder we can't lose any weight and get any exercise... short and chubby i'll have to stay ... what a shame!

I'm only 5ft 2" and just buy normal length salopettes/trousers no problem. They are far too long in the shop but when tried on with ski boots they are fine.

MrsTweedy · 03/01/2008 16:29

I'm 5'3'' and wear Tchibo ski pants which are fine for length - as everyone has said longer is fine when worn over ski boots.
