Hi
I was wondering if anyone had skied in Kitzbuhel before. It is my husbands 50th birthday when we go next week and I would like to book a special lunch on the mountain. There seems to be so many places to eat and very mixed review so was looking for some recommendations.

Any tips welcom

I've been twice! We loved it. But despite eating on the mountain every day, I couldn't recommend anywhere specific. I certainly wouldn't remember the names of them! We had lots of lovely meals, but they were much more 'pitstop with a schnitzel' than a special lunch.

I've only skied in France twice, but I get the impression that nice restaurant meals on the mountain are more of a 'thing' there. I've never really seen the same in Italy or Austria.

One restaurant that we really enjoyed was the one on the 'other' side of the cable car. I can't remember the details, but if you find the big cable car on the map, just a couple of runs from there at the top of a series of runs was a really nice place.

We didn't have a bad meal anywhere on the mountain - it's a lovely resort with great skiing. Are you staying in town?
