Driving to a French resort via the Frejus tunnel - Italian Entry Rules?

We are driving to a French ski resort next weekend and are hoping to go via the Frejus tunnel in Italy, re-entering France at Montgenevre. Has anyone here done that since the French dropped their requirement for pre-entry testing?
We all have a passe sanitaire for France and the Italian websites seem to indicate that if you're just passing through you don't need any other documents but I was wondering if anyone has been stopped at the border and been asked for anything?

If we can go that way it'll save us a lot of time but I really don't want to get to the tunnel and be turned back. : - )

My sister drove from Sestriere to Montgenevre this week and drove straight through border control (waved straight on by the border police). They had negative tests to enter Italy (5 days before), but nothing since. Seeing as France were theoretically requiring negative tests this week, I imagine that now those have been dropped, it should be fine.

That's good to know.
Thank you.
I think we'll risk going that way.
