Flight Prices in Feb Half Term

Hi,

I’m trying to price up a skiing holiday to France in Feb half term 2023.

What sort of price is a good deal from any London airport to either Geneva/Grenoble/Chambery please?

We would be hiring our equipment once there.

Also, do you book separately or through an agent?

TIA

If you manage to get flights as soon as they're released you can get really good deals. We've found half term flights for under £100 in the past. Have never used a package, always independent but package might be easier if it's your first time.

First time I'd do a package.

Is driving an option?

You’ll need a way of getting from the airport to ski resort and packages are often good for this since they sort it all for you, especially if it’s your first time. Do not go to Chambery. It’s a teeny tiny airport that doesn’t even come close to copying with the massive numbers of tourists it’s flooded with during ski season. Hell on earth would be an apt description. Geneva is usually pretty efficient, I haven’t been to Grenoble in years but I remember it being fine. You could also potentially look at Lyon. Anything less £200 pp I’d probably consider fairly decent, we booked in August for this half time and ended up having to pay £500+ pp for easy jet so I think the earlier you book the better for a good deal.

I'd echo @itwasntaparty first time I'd do a package. They often end up not that much more than DIY because of the transfers being included.

Alternatively You could also look at flying to Turin, Montgenevre is a lovely resort for beginners and is an easy hours drive from Turin airport or there are some shuttle companies that do the trip.

Thank you all.

Think it will be easier to go with a package due to Covid as well.
