Does anyone know if they 3 month grace period to needing to vaccinated still stands?

Also, if not, will he be allowed entry if both parents are fully vaccinated?

It’s all so confusing!

I think its 12 yrs and 2 months, not 3. They can travel in with you (as far as I understand it, only from extensive googling, I'm not an expert) but the issue is with testing whilst you're there. They have to test -ve every 24 hours (at a pharmacy) to use ski lifts etc.

Thanks @Africa2go that’s helpful. He’ll be 12 and 1 month so will fall into that bracket. Does this mean he won’t have to test every 24 hours?

Op

You are correct. Under 12 yrs and 2 months do not require pass sanitaire to access restos, ski lifts etc.

Thanks @workwoes123

Do you know how that works in practice, will I need to carry ID for him to prove his age? He happens to be really tall, he’s taller than his almost 14 year old brother. I wonder how we prove he doesn’t require a pass sanitaire?

Yes Id will be necessary - probably for you too. Here in Switzerland the Covid pass is only accepted with Id. You can’t just show the qr code. Passport is sufficient or drivers liscence

workwoes123 · 25/01/2022 16:42

In France only the police are allowed to ask for your ID so you do not have to show proof of ID when going into restaurants etc, just the pass QR code for scanning. Don’t point out that this makes a total nonsense of the whole pass thing, since unscrupulous people can use any random valid pass sanitaire and claim that they are indeed Monsieur Mickey Mouse 🙄 who is fully vaccinated.

Having said that proof of age isn’t a bad idea. I’ve got a massive 11 ur old though, and he’s never been challenged.
