Has anyone ever visited Santa in Lapland?

I watched Noel's Christmas Presents on TV this morning. There were lots of army families who had lost their loved ones and Noel had given them a wonderful chance to go to Lapland to see Santa.
The place looked absolutely amazing and the thought of taking my two dds was dreamy.
It must cost an absolute fortune to go though and the chance of going surely must have to happen while the children are still quite young.
Has anyone ever taken this wonderful holiday?

We went two weeks ago - 1 day trip/family of 4. £1400 from Manchester. FAB!

Ah but it's all the travelling which helps to make it magical! Getting on an aeroplane rocks as far as my kids are concerned!

To be fair, we were fulfilling a little dream we had when I was pregnant with our first. It was something we talked about doing, and, to cut a looooong story short, we suddenly had the money to do it, the kid's are 6 and 4, so a good age and we just thought "what the hell!"

It was fanbloodytastical!
