Hi there, after hours of searching we might have found something in Switzerland after french trip cancelled and as testing already lined up we are good to go. BUT although during the day it might be ok on a terrace for dinner, will a hotel let them eat in their restaurant and will we even be able to stay ?….
Can anyone help plse
We are two double vaxxed and boosted adults and two one vaxxed teens with no recovery cert.
Thanks all

Are you sure you can go to switzerland? My DB lives there and he had to cancel his UK trip this Christmas because he would have to isolate on return for 10 days.

Isolation rule just dropped recently.....

The Covid pass only applies to aged 16+ so you will be fine with your teens. (Swiss resident here 🙂)

Thank you so much you have totally made my day Grin- I think dh found edelboden (sp?) - which looks lovely but we're staying a drive away which is fine if we can go.

But I suggest double checking on travelcheck.admin.ch/home to find out about getting in here! Have a lovely holiday.

Germany is about to announce uk as virus variant area, meaning a quarantine of 14 days for everyone even vaccinated. I would not be the slightest surprised if Switzerland announce the same. France have done similar.

abricotine · 19/12/2021 08:05

@NoKnit Switzerland have already done it and then they lifted it again. They have gone for ramped up testing instead.

NoKnit · 19/12/2021 15:14

Yes but with the huge surge in omikrom cases in the UK I think it might change

The Swiss government are pretty determined to save the ski srason. From today you no longer need PCR test for entry (just anigen test taken within pevious 24hrs), and no longer need a 4-7 day test if vaccinated.

Anyone in Switzerland skiing at the moment who can tell me what it’s like? We’ve moved our holiday from Austria to Switzerland in the last day and are leaving tomorrow. Don’t want to get too excited that we might actually get to ski! 🤞🏻
