Ski boots for larger ankles and legs!

Hello - going skiing for the first time in years. I have always had a problem getting comfortable ski boots. My problem is that I am five foot two with larger ankles and calves. Any hire boots tend to feel like torture devices. I am going to buy some this year - I know the sales people will be able to help but I am doing some research myself. Anyone else have the same problem and found a solution? Thanks!

I absolutely understand this! One year the hire boots crippled me so much thatI ended up buying my own whilst on the resort. I had to try loads on until i found some that fitted.
Tbh I still don't find them exactly what I would call comfortable Blush

Where in the country are you?

Wait until you get there and buy in resort, they will be able to fit and adjust the boots for you and you will be able to get minor adjustments made that will make all the difference. What resort as someone might be able to tell you of a good shop there.

I did this as also short and so totally know what the issue is.

Just looked at mine and they are Head. Apparently they're known for being a wider fit.
