Anyone else got a ski trip booked for Dec in Austria?

We have a week booked for skiing in Austria in late December. DH has been sitting on the booking (he sorted it all) whereas I have been asking him to contact them for a status or to change the booking to next year.

Anyone else going/ not going to Austria skiing?

We had one booked with inghams for Xmas week but they have finally told us they have stopped going to that particular chalet this year so have refunded our deposit . I did have to keep calling to find out what was going on ! We are now hoping (although can’t see it happening ) of getting a last minute booking when the country opens up again . Personally I would call - no harm

Our hotel (we are driving) has said we can cancel up until 2 weeks before. However Germany and France are now in lockdown so can't really drive through there and stop off.

Think we have no alternative but to move it to next year. I don't think it is going to be much fun!

Yes us - 19th Dec. Flights and accommodation booked separately (not with a tour operator). Flights were changed (going later, coming back earlier) which meant we lost a day's skiing but were offered a full refund. We have taken the refund for now, and will see what the position is closer to Christmas. We can cancel the accommodation upto 12th Dec and get a partial refund (would have to claim on insurance for the balance) but keeping it for the time being in case there is the slightest chance we can go. However, I think it is 99.9% likely to be off as we can't quarantine when we come home, and the numbers in Austria are growing.

We are booked for Austria for the 9th of January but have no clue if we will get away.
