Views on Club Med resorts?

We aren’t booking yet but really hoping we can actually go skiing....

Does anyone have views on the following g Club Med locations?

We might drive, and so firstly I’m interested in ease of getting to the location, then the quality of resort, ski in/skit out etc.

Any experiences, good and bad, welcome!

I've never done Club Med but what are the resorts OP?

We've done Italian Club Med and it was great. Its expensive but they make it all very easy for you and the kids loved the food. Wasn't overly impressed with their older kids/teen ski classes though. They lost DD twice. We'll happily go again, even DD, as long as she skis with us.
But I'd imagine AI skiing would be a massive Covid nightmare so it will be 2022 at least before I'd go back.

Oh and loads of self drivers from within Europe, so that should be fine. They are mostly outside the main villages and have good parking

Love club med skiing.

We had New Year booked, 7 families. The problem we have is the quarantine.

So we've all cancelled, such a shame.

We’ve stayed at 3 different Club Med resorts in Asia, I’ve found them definitely worth the price, the food options were very good, all the in house activities/kids clubs on offer were very good especially if you have younger dc. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. We’ve not stayed with them in europe so I couldn’t comment on the ski side of things.

Oh dear, I meant to copy and paste my list!

La Rosière
Les Arcs Panorama
Tignes Val Claret
Alpe d'Huez
La Plagne 2100
Serre-Chevalier
Peisey-Vallandry
Valmorel

Only thing I know about them is La Ros is brand new. Not a resort I liked though, we had rain, hail and thunder for most of the week we were there. But that was early in the season and maybe better later in the season. Is up a very high and windy road,

but think most French resorts are.

Which week are you thinking of as some more snow sure than others in early/late season?
This is what I know of the places you mention:
La Rosière - brand new. Skied past it last season and it is just above the village and ski to and from the door. Looks very big. La Rosiere has a very good snow record and is a resort we have been to several times.
Les Arcs Panorama - is in Arc 1600 which can get icy early season as it is one of the lower les arcs villages. It looks huge but is only a couple of years old so probably still in good condition.
Alpe d'Huez - newly built. Don't know the resort.
Serre-Chevalier - one of their older residences and the longest drive.
Peisey-Vallandry - one of the older ones but people who I know who have been there have liked it. Best for mid season as in a poor snow year you would want to be staying higher up in les arcs.
Valmorel - Have actually stayed in this one! It is a few years old but still very nice. We went in summer and loved the residence and resort. We were in the main hotel rooms. The chalets are more luxurious but i think there is a short club med taxi up to them. I don't think they are linked to the main building. I think this would be a good option if you are going mid season. It is not the most snow sure resort for early/late season.
If you are thinking of Christmas, New Year or Easter I'd be tempted to try the new one in la Rosiere.
If you go ahead with Club Med I would recommend booking through Destination ski - you would pay the same price as booking with Club Med direct but get much better customer service. We used this company for a Club Med holiday this summer which we ended up having to cancel due to travel restrictions. However Destination Ski gave us excellent customer service so we are considering rebooking Club Med with them for next summer.

I would say Valmorel and Serre Chevalier might be the better options this year.

They also have an option in Pragelato which will give you access to the Milky Way.
