La Plagne Bellecote-Anyone been?

We are on the verge of booking a place through owners direct and was wondering if there is anything we should know of the area. Also the ski school in this area seems to be ESF - anyone with any good reviews of them?! Thanks!

I've been, very nice. Little bit flat in paces but plenty of slopes between the flatter bits. Didn't use ski school when there. Is there not an Evolution 2 there? They are generally better than ESF.

Went to La Plagne last year, cannot comment on Bellcote as we were in Montchavin, However the whole area is fab, great skiing and for fast skiers you can ski all of les arcs too. Personally Evolution 2 is my preferred choice, simply because skiesprit used thema nd the instructor was fab.

thanks for the responses - ESF seem to be the ones in Bellecote and we don't want to be driving/dragging DD to the other side of the village/to another village for ski school so I was hoping for some reassurance-maybe I'll just close my eyes and pray she'll enjoy it!

I've been there, but it was almost 15 years ago.

We stayed in a chalet in Montchavin. The ski area was really good - lots of interesting runs and places to stop for a vin chaud.

Alp - I used ESF a couple of years ago in Chamonix and the year before that in Courcheval and they were really good. Was suprised afetr a bad experience in Morzine and hearing all the horror stories. Think they have maybe got better. I'd book it and not worry. The instructors I had couldn't have been nicer.

Thanks for all your responses and reassurance but we have gone against all we have said so far and booked back in a resort we know (Arc1950) with a ski school and kids club that we know!

Arc 1950 is fab, we will go there one day!!
