I thought booking now would be cheaper but it appears not. Hotel flights package to France. This years (cancelled trip) deal is already £500 more expensive.

I really want to secure a good deal without waiting until Jan 2021.
Worth holding out until early next year?

Hard to tell isn't it? We managed to bag some super cheap flights with EasyJet for half term next year but going to hold off on the accommodation for the moment till things settle down a bit.

I'm torn. I really, really don't want to miss out. There's a group of us so want to book a whole chalet and don't want to have to risk splitting into apartments or sharing with others in a bigger chalet (I'm a bit anti-social these days!)

Think I'm going to book a package covered by ATOL/ABTA so will be covered if covid causes the trip to be cancelled again and have checked my insurance covers any of us becoming redundant and having to cancel.

Think I'm going to book in the next week - a couple of the chalet options are already booked out and I'm too anxious to leave until last minute!

Just wondering what people thought for end of March 2021? Do you reckon we'll be skiing in masks?! Looking at France right now.

Prices for S/c apartment are fine.
We always book a package ad still need ski school and ski hire.

Has anyone booked with Ski Solution, Crystal or Iglu??

I think end of March is the best option this season.

France have recently published their Covid guide for skiing this season. There's a copy of it here on J2:

I've booked for Feb half term - I booked it at Easter & got a STEAL on the flights, and a very cheap (admittedly VERY basic) flat - non-refundable. I'll wait til the last possible moment to book lessons, and can buy the passes/ski hire there, so if it's all cancelled, I lose about £390, I think, which I can cope with.

I was really surprised at how expensive 2021 holidays were when I was booking, which was why I DIY-ed it (again) - I'd have thought they'd be trying to lure people in with lower prices.

We have all our non-hire gear, so there's nothing to do now except wait til then and see. I accept that I might not know if we're actually going until a few days before departure! It's supposed to be a surprise for my husband - frankly it'll be a surprise for all of us, in that sense!
