Just back from this year’s fab skiing holiday so obviously looking madly at ski brochures for next year Grin

Has anyone been to Obergurgl recently? If so, any top tips or places to avoid? Beginners and intermediates and a mix of ages

We stayed at Obergurgl over Xmas. Beginners with 7 &10 year olds. We stayed with Esprit. Childcare was probably a bit over the top for what we needed. The girls had ski lessons through Esprit and we had private lessons with Obergurgl Skischule, runs were ideal for beginners/intermediates and the lift pass covers Hochurgl as well as Solden . A free bus runs regularly between the towns. Not loads of apres ski but as we had children it was never going to be late nights !
Queuing for lifts was none existent and the slopes were relatively quiet . (Whether this is the case over half term I don’t know ) . We have booked to go again next Xmas and hopefully getting a last minute break in before the season ends - hope that helps

Oh that’s fantastic to hear, thanks so much!! Booking again is the ultimate recommendation so it must be good :)

Obergurgl is lovely and is very snowsure.

It's not a huge ski area though so if you are reasonable skiers you would def need to head to Solden some of the time.

I think they used to do free lift passes for kids too so worth looking into.
