Hi All,

We skied last year with Ski Esprit (son with Aspergers), he did okay but we realised that whilst group activities are good for him the ration of 1:6 (or maybe more) didn't quite work and he needed more 1:1 - we don't want/need individual lessons as he likes being with other children but looking for somewhere with a ski school that can accommodate his extra attention requirements within a group?

The post lunch wrap around Childcare was very good with Esprit but I don't think they cater to ASN children with regards to ski school.

Many Thanks in advance

Could you not potentially pay for an additional ESF instructor to do 1-1 with him as part of the group lesson? I would have thought Esprit and similar would agree to this. Obviously expensive.

Hi, good idea - our preference is Italy over ESF if possible - been trying to get through to Esprit to no avail... thanks for your reply :) Couldn't afford 1-1 for a week as would be 2hrs ish per day although that might equate to what a 'specialist' ski instructor would be anyway. It doesn't necessarily need to be an instructor though - just an extra pair of hands to keep him focused/engaged as he is very easily distracted.

Totalskidskolan in Sweden may be what you need. It's geared mostly towards physical disabilities but do able bodied skiers too. Variety of packages available. I don't know how much ski school usually costs but you can get 1.5 hours a day 1-2-1 for about 900 Krona (£85 ish)
